Switzerland

The next stop on our 10 day tour was Switzerland.  The first order of business was food.  Trent found a irresistible Hot dog stand more specifically Bratwurst!  Trent asked for a hot dog bun but apparently that is not how you eat a bratwurst in eastern Europe.  As you can see I was not thrilled with the food selection.

Euro 2008 Futbol mania was everywhere.  Switzerland and Austria were hosting the Euro 2008 soccer tournament.

This clock face is the largest clock face in the world.

We only had 2 days in Switzerland so after spending an afternoon in down town Zurich we decided to take a tour of the country side and the Swiss Alps.

On our tour we stop in Rapperwill which means The city of Roses.  There were roses  all over the city.  It was very pretty.

This is one of the many roses garden's that the city had.

This is a view of the Swiss Alps.  The country side was really beautiful.  I really enjoy riding around learning more about Switzerland and seeing the beautiful green hills and the mountains.  I would like to have had 1 more day in Switzerland.

I love that picture of you both on the bench! When I was 14, my family and I spent the night in the Zurich train station, with the homeless people and the other clueless people that ended up at the end of the line without a place to stay (it was super late and the hotels were all full) I will never forget Zurich!!!!

But where is the chocolate? You can't go to Switzerland (or anywhere else in Europe for that matter) without getting chocolate! Good lesson yesterday, by the way.

Yes, Claire I agree. We tried to do the chocolate tour but it was canceled!! Can you believe it? I was very bummed.

No tour of the Lindt Chocolate factory in Zurich? We didn't get to go either...it was a Sunday when we were there and so we only got to go by it on a boat ride! We did buy some local chocolate! Yum!
