Well it's inevitable I got a cold sore! I hate them with a passion. But I thought I would spare everyone the picture of my gross lip seeing that other bloggers have already done so. BUT, I'm going to share a great remedy. L-Lysine is a miracle worker when it comes to getting rid of a cold sore fast. As soon as I feel that tingling sensation I grab my lysine and take 3 pills every day until it's gone. I also buy an ointment call Super Lysine (the name totally fits)and put it on the sore several times a day. My sore is gone in 3 days. Sometimes 4 if I don't get to it right away. And it isn't big and itchy it stays small the whole time. So if you suffer from cold sores, Trust me, you want to get to you local Vitamin Shoppe and purchase these items to have on hand.

Someone in my family...can't remember who takes Lysine tablets everyday as part of the daily regimen to prevent breakouts and it works. Have you done that before? I am so glad I don't have to deal with cold sores...good luck!
Oh I wish I would have known this sooner when I was trying to help cure Mark of his yucky cold sore. It's taken over a week but now it's almost gone. I will pass on the info to him about the Lysine.
Sorry to hear about your cold sore. I will have to pass your remedy on to Yvette she is our only one who gets them. She will try anything to help those babies disappear sooner that they normally do.
I use the same items. It's awesome. Jamie treated me with a bunch of homeopathics years ago as I was getting cold sores like every month. Now I rarely get them. Yeah! I always have my lysine with Q-tips in a little baggie ready to go with the tingling hits.
Great tips. I will for sure try the Lysine next time... I had heard of it but never tried it because I'm lazy like that. I hope your cold sore isn't getting in the way of you enjoying your weekend away with Trent!
