This weekend we went to Carmel. It was a first for us and we loved it. Trent needed to check out a Hotel for his fall retreat so we decided to take the family and make a weekend of it. The kids and I went to the beach while Trent went to the hotel to check things out. The kids had a blast. They've been waiting for summer to come so they could go to the beach.

while Tatum hung out in her little tent. It was
her first visit to the beach.

We stay at La Playa.
Once Trent was done we went and ate lunch
and then we decided to drive up the coast.
It was beautiful.
Saturday morning Trent took the kids back to
the beach while Tatum took a nap. It was a little
cold but they still had fun.
Once Tatum woke up we went to Monterey.
We walked up Cannery Row and had lunch
and we went to the Monterey Aquarium

Madisen and Jaden loved the Jelly Fish, they saw
a few on the beach that had washed up, but they thought
it was so cool to see them in the Aquarium swimming around.
Madisen loved touching all the sea creatures
Jaden was not as thrilled about it.

What a fun weekend and can you say...GORGEOUS! I love picture of Tatum in her little tent with her toys.
Glad to see you guys are finding all the fun things to do out there. It is so hot out here it is so not funny. I love the pics. It looks so beautiful. I am so jealous. I want to come up there for a visit. I am going to see what I can do to get Mitch to go. hummmm maybe a call from Trent would help make it happen....

I love seeing all those pictures! It makes my heart ache for Monterey and Carmel. We love the aquarium! That jellyfish exhibit is amazing. We got lost in there, just staring, mesmerized. Do they still play the cool music to add to the mood? Living in that area is the best! There is always somewhere to go and something to see.

You guys are always doing something fun. I LOVE the pictures! Those cute pictures on the beach are framers. You guys are definitely making the most of this new opportunity. Your kids will have gone more places by the time they're 10 than I did by the time I was 20. What a great experience for all of you!
