Happy 8th Birthday Madisen

Madisen's birthday was on Saturday.  It was a big one.  She turned 8!!  This was very hard for me to swallow.  I turned 30 on the 1st(5 days before she turned 8)  That is a big birthday that would make anyone feel old.  Try turning 30 and then 5 days later realizing that you are now old enough to have an 8 year old.  Scary!  Needless to say, it's been a bitter sweet celebration for me.  My little baby girl is not a little baby girl anymore.  I look at her and can't help but remember holding her in my arms in the hospital.  It feels like it was just yesterday.

Enough of my rambling on, Madisen had an all day celebration this year.  It started at 11:00 when we went to our friends' The Billman's for her "friend" party.  This years theme was High School Musical.

Missing was her friend Mck...he had a soccer game and Madisen was very bummed that he could not be at her party.  Madisen, Mck and Aubrey have been friends since they were in diapers.

Next was the party at Grandpa Homec's

Grandpa got her diamond earrings for her birthday/baptism gift.
