I have to say that I learned a very important lesson this weekend. That is if your son doesn't want to take a toy to some one's house because it might get lost,
listen to him. He probably knows what he's talking about. On Friday I was going to go to Book Club for the first time. Jaden didn't want to leave the house, which isn't a big surprise. If it were up to him he would sit at home all day long and watch whatever movie is his favorite at the time (right now it's Spider Man) and play with the corresponding toys. So I told him "you can bring your Spider Man toys." Which he responded with. "No, Mom I'm going to leave them because they might get lost." Now, this is unusual for Jaden, because he usually wants to take whatever toy he is into at the time everywhere with him. And when he does I usually let him because he has never lost a toy yet. Well, "I told no it's OK you won't loose it." Thinking that he would do what he usually does when I take him to a house that is unfamiliar to him, stay right by my side. So we went (taking his Spider Man toys)And to my surprise

he didn't stay by my side. (Which says a lot about the person whose house this was at. He only does this when he is very comfortable with the person and their house.) He went and had fun, he played outside, on the stairs, he even feel asleep on her bathroom floor. Well, I didn't even think about his toys because I was just happy that he was having fun and not sitting on top of me. It's time to leave, I take him outside (a sleep) and he wakes up and asks me for his Spider Man toys. So I went inside and came out empty handed. His Spider Man toys were lost!!! I told him that I couldn't find them but that they would look for them and let me know when they found them. He said to me "see Mom, I told you they would get lost." Talk about arrow through your heart!!! His Spider Man toys were lost and it was all my fault. If only I had listen to my 4 year old son, (who apparently new before hand that he was going to go have fun with other kids and not sit by my side at a house he's never been too.) Well, I felt bad, so bad that I told him that if we couldn't find the toys that I would buy him new ones. So when I got the call this morning that the toys had been found not only did I have a happy 4 year old. But I was happy myself. You see I really didn't want to go spend $20 on Spider Man toys when I have only a month until Xmas. So thank you for finding his toys, and rectifying my huge mistake. You know who you are....and you are forever in my debt. :)

Nooo, it is my mistake. I wish I had found the precious items sooner. My house is a black hole for toys. Probably because it is so full of them!
The funny thing is, we have the red spidey guy already, so at first I thought it was ours. The black one, he's unique.
I'm so glad they are safe and sound! There's nothing quite as bad as losing a toy your child is obsessed with. I got your message when I got home... we were gone most of the day! I'll call you in the morning!
I know all about bringing our favorite toys and leaving them all over town. but Carson still insists on bringing things everywhere even though he knows he might forget them and cause drama for all.
Also do not bring candy to Celia's house. It mysteriously disappears.
Sometimes I do that with my purse. It kind of gets mixed in with all the other ones and I can't seem to tell it apart from all the other Coach purses. Ya right. I buy mine at ROSS.
Anyways, I try not to let my kids take their toys in the car because it is like CF house--a black hole!
PS why are you auzi girl?
I am Auzigirl for a couple of reasons. #1 my cousin use to call me Auzi instead of Audry
#2 and this is the biggest, my life long dream is to visit the land down under. My dad lived their and always talked about it. So as a small child I decided I wanted to go. I have not been there yet, but I will go someday.
My husband says that kids have an underground toy network. Ammon has lost various toys at stores or parks and he always seems to find some other kid's lost toy to keep for himself. Anyway, I'm glad it worked out for Jaden and Spiderman was rescued! I love your stories and the last post about Madisen was cute too! She needs to teach my daughter how to have such a neat room!
