Summer Break week 7/Santa Monica and AZ

Santa Monica

Because Trent's companies' main office is in LA. We've made a tradition of going to Santa Monica. The kids love it because we stay in a nice hotel right on the beach. I love it because we don't have to pay for the hotel(being on the beach is a nice bonus of course :)

You should know I am terrified of Ferris wheels. I had a very very traumatic experience when I was young. Last year

I refused to go, but some how got talked into it this year. This is me trying to pretend I'm enjoying myself.

Every time the kids moved I freaked. And lets just

say that when we stopped at the very top

I wasn't pleased. Tears may or may not have been shed.

Daddy and his girls

Tatum loved the rides, as Jaden would say, she literally thought she was at Disneyland.

The big kids were really good about going on the kiddy rides with her.

Of course SM isn't fun without the beach!

My childhood friend Yvonne met us. We had a great time.

Dad spent 1 day with us before going to work

the rest of the time.

Jaden got very brave and went out pretty far.

He was up to his neck.

Tatum informed me that she doesn't like the beach.

This is not something I like to hear, because I LOVE the beach.

AZ/Grandma's House

Going to Grandma's house usually means 3 things: Swimming, Diamond backs and shopping! Of course all 3 things were accomplished.

Desert

The Desert was not part of the original plan. But, because I was driving and we had already done 2 12 hours drives this summer I decided instead of driving 11 hours in one shot we would break it up and stop over in the desert. Thanks of course, to my wonderful friend Shari who was willing to let us stay with only 12 hours notice. I apologize to all my family and friends who were not seen because we got in Monday night and left first thing in the morning on Tuesday.
