The other day at dinner Jaden went into one of his long discourses about some show that he had watched. In his retelling of this show he mentioned that someone liked a girl because she was "hot". To which I asked him. "Jaden what is a "hot" girl?" I was curious to know how well he understood the meaning. "A girl who is really pretty." He said. OK.... We all know that. So Trent asked "Is mommy hot.?" To which he quickly and with a look of appall said "NO!" "Why?" I asked. Because you are a mom and mommies are not hot.!" I had to laugh. What a great answer.
I'm ok with my son wanting me to be seen as a mommy and not as "hot"! I'm sure he voiced in that statement most boys sentiments.
