My birthday was at the beginning of the month. The very first day of the month to be precise. Trent had to go to Carmel for work, so I asked my aunt to come stay with the kids for a couple of days and I tagged along. BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!!!! I had 2 whole days ALL TO MYSELF!!!!! I got to sleep in and read. We had a fireplace in our room so I snuggled up with a book by the fire. I also played with my birthday gift which was an itouch. No kids nagging me, or asking to be fed or having to be changed or whining at me. Trent took me to dinner both nights and the food was fantastic. The last day Trent didn't have to work so we shopped.
Carmel was the cutest little town. It had a European feel to it.
I loved looking at all the cottages and cute little shops.
Now, some of you might know that I am a true blue California girl. I love sun, beaches, and sand and waves and Sun! I hate cold, rain, wind and snow. HATE IT.!!! I tell you this because, while in Carmel we took the 17 mile drive. And while on this drive I found a new appreciation for this wonderful state that I love. It is so gorgeous. It made me realize even more how much I love California.

I love Carmel. It is literally 15 minutes from my mom's house. I love to eat there, beach there, stroll there, shop there and sitting by a fire there with no kids sounds like a dream. I am so jealous.
I just love these pictures! Your birthday weekend sounds like heaven! Just the alone time sounds great, then add on the shopping and dinner dates! Ahhh! Lucky!
BTW I got the girls dresses at Walmart :) Actually my mom did!
