Weekend Getaway.

This last weekend was my sister's baby shower.  I had been planning on going (by myself)for the last couple of months.  As it closer I got more excited.  Then the Monday before I was to leave Trent got a call from his mom.  His grandma had died and they wanted us to fly out to the funeral.  Trent, being the wonderful husband that he is, decided that he did not want to ruin my weekend.  The plan was we would all take the same flight to Salt Lake and then he would meet his mom's husband there and they would rent a car and drive to Idaho Falls.  I offered to take Tatum with me, but he insisted that I go alone.  I glad he offered because I needed a weekend alone.

Thank you, Thank you! Trent for letting me still have my weekend.  I know what traveling with kids is like and the fact that you did it ALONE makes me love you that much more.

Those girls only weekends are so valuable and necessary from time to time. It is amazing what it does for your soul, and your psyche. You needed to be with you sister and mom, and It was great for Trent to have the kids. Good for you.

Wow! That's really great that he was willing to do that and recognized that you needed to have that weekend with your family.

I hope you've had a fun week with Shari; how fun that you'll have some time with her. You've had such a fun summer and I've loved reading about all of it. I can't believe school is starting already and all I've done is read about other people's fun summers. We'll just have to pack something fun in next week for the kids. Fun to catch up with you and your family.
