Inthe summer of 2007 we went to Lander Wyoming. Gray (Trent's dad) planned a Homec Family Reunion. Madisen was 6, Jaden was 3 and Tatum was 6 weeks old. The trip was 15 hours. So we drove to St. George and stayed the night at Aunt Becky's, while there, we saw my cousin Denise and met her husband Spencer and their little girl. The next day we drove to Provo and stayed at the Best Western Cotton Tree Inn. It was a very horrible experience. First they didn't have our reservation, then the hotel was very dirty and the maids didn't come clean our room. Needless to say, we will not be returning to that hotel. But we did enjoy spending time with my sister Brooke and my cousin Vivian at the Provo pool. Finally we drove to Lander. It's 5 hours from Provo. We were glad to finally arrive.
One of the first things we did when we got there, was go up the switchbacks and have a steak fry. Gary cooked while the rest of us hung out. Trent took the kids fishing. Madisen caught her first fish. She worked very hard to catch it. She was very excited when she finally did. The kids also enjoyed playing with their Uncle Jacob, Brittany and George.

Gary took us all to Yellowstone. While we were waiting for Gary to check us into the hotel, we saw and Elk. The kids thought it was great. They got to get pretty close to it.
The hotel we stayed in was more like a lodge. It had a cabin feel to it. It was very small. But we weren't in our room's very much so it worked. Just down from our hotel there was a lake with a beach. The first night we were there we all went down and the kids played by the water and in the sand. We took pictures and then we walked over to the restaurant that was there and ate.

The next day we went to see the geyser's. The kids loved them. Jaden got so excited when he saw Old Faithful, that he tried to run out to it. We had to stop him before he left the trail. As we were walking they kept yelling "oh look at that one!" It was fun to see them get so excited.
After we looked at the geyser's we went into the lodge and had ice cream and ate lunch. It was a great morning.

Next we went on a hunt for buffalo. Tyson (Trent's brother) and the kids came up with a signal. If they saw a buffalo they were to put their fingers by their heads and say buffalo, as were driving we saw one and Jaden started yelling, with his fingers by his head, "Tyson, buffalo!, Tyson, buffalo!" Tyson was not in our car, but he kept on yelling it. As soon as the car stopped be jumped out and rad over to Tyson. "Tyson, Tyson, buffalo!." His enthusiasm was very cute.
