Today Madisen got Student of the Month for November. At her school the kids have a life skill that they work on each month. This month's life skill was "Friendship". Madisen's award was for being a good friend. I was so proud to see her get up and get her award. Madisen's teacher said that Madisen was a good example of a good friend. She is nice others in her class. She speaks kindly to others and that all the kids in her class want to be her friend. She shows respect to others including her teacher.
I know that being a good friend is something she is always trying to be. I've worked hard to teach her to be kind to others no matter what others have done. It's nice when those teachings shine through and others notice.
