Jaden turns 5

Jaden turned 5 on Thursday.  It took me 2 weeks to plan his party.  He want an Incredible Hulk Birthday party.  I didn't think to much about it.  I figured with the movie just coming out that there would be plenty of Hulk supplies.  I was WRONG!  I went to 4 different places looking for Hulk party supplies and no one had them.  I was amazed.  HELLO people the movie just came out to the theaters this summer and it just hit the store shelves last week!  They didn't even have Iron Man which was his 2nd choice.  Again what is wrong with these party people?  So I tried to convince my son to have a Spider Man party which he was okay with until he came up with a better plan(all by himself)  "I know mom"  he said  "we can have an AVENGERS party!"  Not bad I thought, I can use a little bit of them all and make it work.

This is the invitation that I made:
At the party for decoration I found a poster with Iron Man, Hulk, Spider Man and Captain America on it.  I also found a poster with all the Mavrel comic book heroes on it.  We had a Hulk Cake, and Iron Man plates(I found them online).  We also played some great games.
The first game was the "Super Hero Walk" played like the cake walk but they got Hulk teeth as their prize.
The next game was an Iron Man Relay.  They wore this mask and then they had to
 "fly" over the truck
throw the heavy box and run to the end and tag there friend who then ran and did it in reverse.
The next game was web the bad guy.  I printed out pictures of bad guys from all three movies and hung them or place them on sticks throughout the yard.  The kids had silly string and they had to go "web" the bad guys.
It quickly turned into "web" your friend.
I don't think she was happy about being webbed
Next they played pin the mask on Iron Man.
Drawing courtesy of Trent!
The pinata was a little tricky.  I bought a Spider Man pinata but did not have a place
for the kids to hit it outside.  At Madisen's party the year before I just had the girls do it in the house.  But I was a little nervous about having 12 kids(mostly boys)swinging at a pinata in my house.  Trent came up with a great idea.  We would have the kids think that someone took the candy.  So I went to the pinata and said "o no the candy is gone at that point Trent came out dressed like Venom(he had candy stuffed in side his shirt)I told the kids to go get him and they did.  It was so funny to watch.

It turned out really well.  The kids all had a great time.  And Jaden loved all the gifts he got.

Can you say... Super Mom, party planner! You did such a great job Audrey with his party. They are so much work! I can only imagine how much time you put into this. Brent is on a spiderman kick right now and has a birthday in Dec. I might steal a few of your great ideas if that's ok.
I need to email you and get your address. Taylor typed Madisen the cutest note asking her to be her penpal. I need to mail it to you.
We miss you guys!
